Ministry: Russian gold refining rises 1.65% to 232 tns in Jan–Sep
MOSCOW, Nov 21 (PRIME) -- Russia’s gold refining rose 1.65% on the year to 231.65 tonnes in January–September, the Finance Ministry said on Wednesday, citing gold supplies to refining plants data.
Mined gold output rose 3.44% to 194.86 tonnes, while by-product gold output decreased 12.83% to 11.69 tonnes, and gold scrap production fell 3.79% to 25.10 tonnes.
Russia’s silver output increased 1.73% on the year to 801.81 tonnes in January–September. Primary silver production rose 1.15% to 368.88 tonnes, while by-product silver output decreased 0.61% to 240.15 tonnes, and production of silver scrap went up 6.02% to 181.84 tonnes.
